NC Employee Ownership Ambassador Program

Interested in learning about employee ownership?

The dates for our next cohort are TBD

The North Carolina Employee Ownership Ambassador Program is for people that work with businesses–in economic development, as business service providers, legal professionals, financial advisors, etc.–and would like to learn about employee ownership from people with experience working with or at employee-owned businesses, connect with fellow participants, and learn how to take their new knowledge and connections into their existing work.

Cohort participants will learn how employee ownership can protect jobs, increase community wealth, and create a more vibrant, inclusive economy. Additionally, participants will learn about the primary forms of employee ownership: Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs), Worker Cooperatives, and Employee Ownership Trusts (EOTs).

The NC Employee Ownership Ambassador Program has been designed as a 4-week program with virtual meetings and independent learning modules. Meetings will be once a week, with the total time commitment being 7.5-8 hours.

Interested in participating or have questions? Reach out to NCEOC’s Regional Director Luke Hoffman at lhoffman@nceoc.org

Interested but not available on these dates? We will be running future cohorts, so reach out and we’ll keep you in the loop!
