The North Carolina Employee Ownership Center (NCEOC) is on a mission to protect jobs, increase community wealth, and create a more vibrant, inclusive economy through the power of employee ownership. For the past five years, we have played a vital role in fostering economic empowerment across the state of North Carolina.
We fulfill our mission by sharing success stories, building partnerships with companies, individuals, and nonprofits, and offering educational resources around employee-ownership models and logistics. This impact report highlights our achievements over the past five years.
Guided Successful Transitions to Employee Ownership
Over the past five years, we have significantly contributed to transforming businesses into employee ownership models. We have facilitated 60 referrals, conducted 23 one-on-one intakes, and assisted with the successful transitions of 6 companies, resulting in 170 new employee-owners.
This achievement underscores our commitment to fostering sustainable business models that empower employees and strengthen communities. Congratulations to each of those companies and all their employees! Learn more about these and other great employee owned companies in North Carolina on our Stories page.

This program provides an immersive experience into the transformative world of employee ownership, offering participants the unique opportunity to learn from seasoned experts and peers.
